Who Turned Off The Heat

We have arrived in  Florida today and it is cold. Has anyone told this state it is suppose to be warm down here. When you are from New England you just expect it to be warm here. Okay enough complaining.

Today was a nice day on the water. Each day your on the ICW you have different scenery. Today we went by Cumberland Island, GA that is the island that John F Kennedy Jr was married on. It is surrounded by uninhabited beaches. It is suppose to have wild horses on it but we did not see any today. We did want to anchor off it and dinghy to walk around the island but the weather is just too cold. It is suppose to be 32degrees  tomorrow morning so we chose to go to a marina so that we can turn on the heat without turning on the generator.
We are in Fernandina Beach Harbor Marina. We only went 40 miles today and that was just fine by me. This is really a nice town. Bob kept commenting on our walk that it was too clean and landscaped to be a real town. We think we will stay 2 nights here, not because its warm but we want to go explore the town more.
We found a bakery, so we bought some fresh bread to have with our pasta with chicken and vegetables and I bought 2 great looking cupcakes for dessert.

  1. yep it cold here as well! At least theres no s+++. We are still in MB and rethinking our future travels. Lets go were its warm? Since we really have not decided where next....lets head south! Jim got his new anchor today and will install it tomorrow then who knows where we will end up. All I know I am more than ready to move on down the waterway! Hope you catch the florida warmth and sunshine sooner than later.
