Now that's a pier!
We have been here since Wednesday afternoon. The weather each day has started off cold, but warmed up to about 70 degrees by noon.
Thursday was spent cleaning up the boat. After spending about 5 weeks on , it really needed it. You do daily clean up, but just like home, you have to really get down and dirty some times. Having the dog brings alot of extra dirt. He does not shed, but during his morning walks he usually gets wet and dirt clings to his fur. Then it dries and falls off in the boat.
On friday we rented a car and went to the beach. We went to North Myrtle Beach as well as Myrtle Beach. It was really nice walking on the sand. There were people sitting in chairs and we saw some in the water. In Myrtle Beach they have a path that runs along it called the Promenade. It is surrounded by palm trees. I guess those trees just remind me of vacations and when I see them I just seem to feel so relaxed and happy.
We also had to do a major reprovisioning. We went to a SuperWalmart and you can get everything that you could want. I oringinally thought I would pick up paper and canned goods at Walmart, stop at a grocery store for meats, fruit, and vegetables.then on to a liquor store. Walmart was a one stop shop. When I came out and Bob saw the cart he never thought we would have enough room on the boat for everything. I had no doubt that I would find a place for everything and I did.
We got together with Sweet Pea for coffee and fudge on Wednesday night and Friday I supplied the cheese and crackers and they had the wine.
Saturday Bob did some more cleaning out side of the boat and some minor repairs.
Tomorrow we head to Georgetown, SC
Dinner Saturday was risotto with shrimp and asparagus. and tonight I am about to put a pot roast in the crock pot
