First I want to say a big thank you to Jim and Dale from Sweet Pea. While we were in Myrtle Beach they were generous with offering to take us anywhere we wanted to go and for their hospitalilty in having us over on their boat for get togethers. They even welcomed Brady with open arms to their boat.
Today was a peaceful day on the ICW. We passed about 3 sailboats in the morning and that was all the boats we saw for the day.
Every couple of days something on the boat needs repair and today was the day. About 1 hour into the trip today I was smelling something and mentioned to Bob that this part of the ICW had a smell. Well it wasn't the water. The starboard windshield wiper motor was stuck on and the circuit breaker did not turn off. We looked up and the box that holds the motor was melting. So Bob disconnected the wire and we didn't have to call 911. When we got to the marina this afternoon Bob orderd a new motor and it should be here tomorrow by noon. It looks like we will be staying 2 nights here. We tried to get into a marina closer to the town of Georgetown SC but there was nothing available. We are at the Georgetown Landing marina which is north of town. Its a little bit of a walk to get there so we will see if we will make a trip in.
It is suppose to rain tomorrow so it is important to get the wiper fixed before we move on to Charleston.
I see a restaurant in this marina's parking lot, so it might be takeout for dinner.
