What a difference a day makes

NYC here we come!

We saw a lot of bridges today. I think this is the Brooklyn

Very impressive Lady Liberty

Skyscrapers

Pier 17

Ellis Island
Well if yesterday was nasty then today was a perfect day to be on the water. It was absolutely perfect to be cruising through the east river. When we came into New York Harbor there she was. Let me say how lucky we are to be taking this trip on our little boat and to be able to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Bob's grandfather Henrique Gomes came over here from Maderia when he was 19years old. How it must have felt for him to come into the Harbor. I want to thank him for coming to the USA, for meeting his wife, having a Son which led to Bob. So far he has been an excellent captain and a husband. (but we are only 5 days into this)
We are anchored  off of Atlantic Highlands in Sandy Hook, NJ. We wanted a slip or a mooring but none were available. So you anchor. We might see if there is anything for tomorrow because we wanted to spend 2 days here.
I don't know what's for dinner tonight so it might be a fend for yourself night..

  3. Yeah Diane,

No lines to secure tonight, we've got the anchor out and are watching the sky light up.
It was pouring rain for a short time. D is in the bunk sleeping and Brady is lieing down next to me on the sette. We've got he generator on and are watching TV.
