First, I would like to say thank you to the follower who so graciously sacrificed themselves for a semi windless morning. I guess it was not enough to appease the wind gods completely.
We have actually left our marina and made it a whole 11.3 miles to Dutch Harbor and for those who know us it is one of our favorite anchorages. We arrived here at 11:30am and it was fine. Now at 4:00pm the winds are howling and we are rocking and rolling.
Tomorrow we hope to actually leave Narragansett Bay and head into Block Island sound and then Long Island sound. The goal is to get to an anchorage at Duck Island.
Woo hoo! Finally!
ReplyDeletebtw, why is Dutch Harbor so great?
We're glad to hear you're on your way! Have a safe and exciting adventure. G&G
ReplyDeleteBaby steps. Have a good weekend cruising through Long Island!
