The sun is shining but the wind is blowing a chilly wind.
We hear the part we need has arrived as of 1:00pm but there are no mechanics around. So its probably not going to be installed today. Tomorrow am hopefully. If they get it in early am we hope to leave but we will wait and see. That seems to be my mantra alot.
Turkey cutlets tonight with baked potato and veg.
Part 2:
The mechanic arrived at 3:00 pm and worked until 5:00pm then he called in two more mechanics to assist him. They had to remove the complete intercooler just to get to the faulty lube oil cooler.They replaced the cooler and began reassembly. By 7:00 pm they had the engine back together and were testing and looking for leaks. The faulty cooler had several hairline cracks in it and was leaking about 7 to 9 gallons an hour.
Looks like tomorrow we'll be able to blow this town and head to Solomons.
We won't want to see the bill for this one!

ReplyDeleteI have 2 questions for you. Are you following esperanzas blog? It is a great read. And have you looked down the road as to which path you will take once at Norfolk and the ICW. The Virginia Cut or the Dismal Swamp? We are leaning towards the Dismal Swamp!
